    High‑resolution photos guide planning. Most scars are revised under local anesthesia; those longer than 3 in (7.5 cm) or on highly mobile areas may require light IV sedation.

  2. Core Steps

    The scar is excised, tension is released, and the skin is closed with multilayer absorbable sutures aligned to relaxed tension lines. For hypertrophic or keloid‑prone skin, we inject 0.1–0.4 mL triamcinolone (10–40 mg/mL). Optional: we can add fractional CO₂ laser at weeks 3 and 6 (typically 2–3 sessions) to speed remodeling when thicker scars need extra smoothing.
