What Is Upper Eyelid Rejuvenation(Upper Blepharoplasty)?

Upper blepharoplasty gently removes or re-positions excess skin, a thin strip of muscle, and tiny fat pads from the upper lids only, restoring a crisp crease and brighter, more open eyes.

Incisions hide inside your natural eyelid fold, so scars blend in and become nearly invisible. The procedure typically takes 45–60 minutes.

FAQs – Ear Surgery

What is the starting price for upper-eyelid surgery?
Upper-lid blepharoplasty starts at $6,500—that entry price includes your board-certified surgeon, in-office local anesthesia, facility fees, and a 12-month doctor-guided follow-up. With approved credit, monthly payments begin around $200 after a typical 20 % deposit. Exact quote after exam; individual needs vary.
What type of anesthesia is used?

Upper-only blepharoplasty is performed under local anesthesia with an oral relaxant—no IV sedation required. If you decide to combine it with lower-lid surgery, we upgrade to gentle IV sedation provided by our anesthesiologist for added comfort.

Can I go home the same day?

Absolutely. After about an hour in recovery you’ll head home with a responsible adult and rest with cool compresses.

What post-op care will I need?

Just chilled compresses, prescribed ointment, preservative-free tears, and head elevation for 48 hours—no drains, massages, or compression garments required.

Will there be visible scars?
The 2 mm entry point hides in your natural chin crease and typically fades to a pinpoint within months.
Will it hurt?
Most patients report little to no pain—just mild tightness the first day, easily managed with acetaminophen. Narcotics are rarely necessary.
Where are the scars, and will they be visible?
Incisions hide inside your natural upper-lid crease, fading to nearly invisible once swelling subsides.
When can I wear makeup or contact lenses again?
Eye makeup is usually fine by day 10; contact lenses around week 2, once swelling settles and your surgeon clears you.
How soon can I return to work, driving, and exercise?
Desk work & driving: 3–5 days. Light cardio: 2 weeks. Strenuous workouts & heavy lifting: 3–4 weeks.
How long do results last?
Enjoy brighter, smoother eyes for 7–10 years or more before a touch-up is even considered.
Are there alternative or add-on treatments?
A brow lift for heavy brows, fractional CO₂ laser for fine lines, or dermal fillers for residual shadowing are popular complements.
What if I have dry eyes or eye disease?
We coordinate with your ophthalmologist to ensure conditions like dry-eye syndrome or glaucoma are well-controlled before surgery.
